An evening of Living Tableauxs at The gibbes museum of art
Directed by Liesl Eppes
Produced by Chase Quinn and The Gibbes Museum of Art
“French for “living picture,” join us for an evening of entertainment and delight as local theater designers, actors, and performers take inspiration from our permanent collection and the temporary exhibition Something Terrible May Happen to mount a series of tableaux vivants. Popular in the nineteenth century, tableaux vivants are live recreations of scenes from art, combining elements of theater, performance, and the visual arts.“

“I am passionate about experimental work and pushing my boundaries creatively. The opportunity to direct an evening which challenged our preconceptions of the visual and performing arts was a joy and a privilege.”
